Along Lisa's path she always had people verifying she would make it as a singer. Lisa's grandfather, a pastor, is where she received her gift to sing. Lisa grew up listening to the greats like Stevie Wonder, George Benson, Al Jarreu, Anita Baker, and Whitney Houston. Her father made her sing by the age of three in front of his clients and by age five she knew she would be a professional singer one day.
After she won the Mrs. America Pageant in 1997, she began singing at appearances across the nation and on national television. This opened the doors for Lisa, and gave her many opportunities to get recognized. It is obvious what a special talent Lisa Christie truly is, 'My style is a wide range, but my favorite is a blend of Blues, Jazz, and R&B." Not only does Lisa have an incredible vocal ability, she writes lyrics from the soul.
Lisa is singing with Mark Mazur and the Little Big Band and Teardrop. They play jazz, blues, R&B, and current pop dance music. They are booked at events, weddings, and perform with the Buffalo Philharmonic.
